The smoker arrived with the central section (the chimney) being defective. The porcelain flakes off at the corner of the rectangular opening for the door. The door does not fit the opening at all and there is a large gap when it is closed. Weber promised to replace it right away but a few days later when I called, I was told that the part is in back order.

The replacement finally came a week after and much to my irritation, the replacement itself has the same problem - porcelain on it is flaking off. I called Weber and got the same story. I was told a replacement will be send FedEx next day. I called a couple of days later only to find out the this part is again on back order.
On all occasions the cartons came in perfect shape and packing was adequate. I have but to conclude that the parts were defective when they went out of the warehouse. I agree with another reviewer who had problems with the smoker. The door, the legs are very flimsy. Also, although the lid and the bottom sections are strong, the central section is not rigid at all. In additional, the vents covers are stamped out from thin aluminium sheets and certainly feel cheap and insubstantial - I hope they will hold up better then they feel/look. I am still waiting for the replacement parts so, I cannot tell how well it works.
