| marchtoy's Full Review: A Florida Direct Auto Transport |
I purchased an 83 Cadillac Eldorado with a WHITE convertible top in Florida - off of ebay and did significant research trying to find a decent transporter from the list supplied by the Seller as well as many others I could find online, and settled on this one. They told me they wouldn't charge my card until the car was picked up and after that it would take 10-12 days for the car to arrive here in NE Washington state - no small feat.
Well, when I saw that my card had been charged I expected to wait 10-12 days. No car. I called and they told me the truck had broke down. (What, they only have 1 truck?)
I was beginning to fume, but when I phoned a few days later they told me it was on its way. Sure enough, it arrived yesterday, 5/10/04. 1 month and 3 days from end of auction. I think this is reasonable, especially considering the distance involved.
Other than lots of bug spatter and raindrop marks on the car it arrived in great shape. Evidently they'd trucked it to Spokane where it was put on a towing outfit and brought right to my front door as I sat out in the front yard waiting for it.
I'm not a real patient person, but this wasn't so bad. Therefore, I DO recommend this transport co. - regardless of which name they go by.
