Pros: Unloaders were very friendly and prompt. Our stuff was delivered within the quoted time frame.
Cons: Items broken due to negligence and shoddy packing. No communication during delivery process. Unprofessional company!!
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this company - they are unprofessional and non-responsive. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction.

I see from a previous review that another customer had a lousy experience with Able Moving too. The representative for Able movers seemed very on the ball and responsive. He presented a great song and dance - their quote was extremely reasonable and although they gave us a big window of time for delivery (2-10 days) but we were assured that the driver would probably be able to give us a smaller window of time when they loaded our stuff on the truck and if not, the delivery guys would be calling us with updates.
Once the packing began, we quickly could see why their quote was lower than the rest. Three packers showed up at our 3 floor townhome and started putting things into boxes. One of the packers took long breaks and had a cell phone glued to her ear almost the entire day, while packing. We had several boxes in a storage area downstairs with Christmas items and various other stuff and instead of inquiring about the boxes, the packers quickly slapped some tape on them and assumed they were ready to go. Once my husband and I discovered this, we told them that those boxes were not packed to move a long distance. This seemed to annoy them and so they quickly relocated items into boxes and labeled everything Christmas stuff, even though there were numerous other things. Upon receipt of these boxes, their haste was all too clear because they had thrown a huge heavy jar of change on top of tons of ceramic items, all which were broken because of it.
The next day the movers came - one spoke English, the other two did not. My husband happened to be watching out our kitchen window and saw one of the movers accidentally slam our rod iron table into the back of one of our big televisions. He heard the only English words (obscenities) out of one of the movers mouths all day. My husband waited to be approached about what happened but it was never mentioned to us! I know mistakes can happen, but that should have been pointed out. Also, the truck they brought was very small and things were packed to the gills in it. We asked the mover if he could quote us a shorter delivery window and he said it is not policy for him to do that and again we were assured that they delivery guys would be keeping us informed.
On to the waiting game, day 4 into the delivery window my husband and I were getting anxious to hear something. We gave Able moving a call, which quickly transferred us to Atlas services. My husband reached someone's voicemail, so he left a message. We received no call back - the next day (day 5 of delivery window) we called again - this time he got a live person, who told my husband that she would get in touch with our driver and call us back promptly. Again, we received no call back. Day 6 into the delivery window, my husband again called Atlas moving - this time he got a different person who said they haven't been able to get a hold of the driver. That's assuring - the company does not know where their drivers are for two whole days!! Anyway, he said it our stuff most likely be arriving on day 10 of the delivery window, to the best of his knowledge. Again, this "guess" was not assuring to us. We finally heard from the drivers the night before day 10.
I have to say the unloaders were friendly and worked quickly - even though there were only two of them to unload stuff into a 2100ft square house in about half a day. They were surprised to see the broken t.v. (big shocker that the loaders did not mention this to anyone) and my husband informed them that he had seen this happen during loading.
Now the unpacking - as mentioned before, one of the Christmas boxes, had several non-Christmas items with the broken ceramics due to negligence. We also noticed one of our picture boxes was loaded to the point that it was almost bursting open. We removed 3 pictures and a Mexican tiled mirror, which was severely bent at the bottom and had broken tiles due to overstuffing of the box. Why this was placed in with pictures and not wrapped separately is beyond me.
So, onto the claims form, we entered all of our claims which to our calculation turned out to be about $550 worth of damage. An Atlas representative called us and informed us that we had $500 deductible on our contract (which by the way was never mentioned to us during the quote, and my husband and I should have looked more carefully at this). They sent someone out to evaluate the damage and they estimated repairs/replacements at $450. Again an Atlas representative called us and informed us that since we had the deductible, they would not be replacing or repairing anything. Basically, the deductible gave them a license to be negligent and unprofessional.
Overall, we are very disappointed with this company. Their promise of keeping us informed of our move was not fulfilled and they dropped the ball on keeping our stuff safe was well. I would not recommend them to anyone. And, learn from my husband and I, and if you move do NOT get a deductible unless you want to kiss some of your items goodbye.
