Pros: Nicest movers! Everything's here.
Cons: Just a few.
The Bottom Line: I really liked the movers that we had. They were great! Did a fast and responsible job. Were nice, and friendly as well, which was a bonus!

Ok, so I went against ALL the epinions I read about Bekins. Yes, they were the lowest bidder, but it wasn't just that. The guy that came to give me the bid was really nice. He assured me he'd be with the movers the day of the move (he wasn't), and I liked that assurance.
Well the day of the move came, and the movers were on time. Unfortunately, they brought a truck that was too small. They said another truck was following to make up for that.
There were 4 guys including the driver(I was to get three according to the contract). The driver stayed on the truck and the other 3 worked their tushes off. It was over 95 degrees that day, and I was moving from a 2nd floor condo to a 3 story townhouse. Not easy.
O.k. they loaded up the truck with as much as they could fit (truck 2 never showed up) and we were off. I treated everyone to McDonald's for lunch (my new place is right by one). I'd supplied plenty of all different kinds of drinks, knowing that it was going to be a hot one. After the 1st truckload was unloaded and sort of in place, we headed back to the old place to load in the rest of my things. My husband and I made sure to tell the driver that we were not to be penalized because they'd sent too small a truck, so they deducted the time to drive back and forth.
The move went as well as a move can be expected on a horribly hot/muggy day. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I did give them a nice tip at the end of the day too.
The next day I received a call saying that the driver had forgotten to charge me for HIS time. Now remember, I signed a contract for THREE movers and a large truck. I got 3 movers and a driver and a smaller truck. So, I thought about it and discussed it with my husband. It wasn't a small amount and would've gotten my about $200 over the original estimate (not to mention I'd forgotten to have them move the things in my storage locker and the dh and I had to do that the next day). So...I think that the amount we paid was fair, and we didn't pay the extra few hundred they were asking for.
Now, I WOULD recommend these movers again, but please do be careful to stick to your guns on the contract you sign!
