Pros: If your car or motorcycle doesn't arrive when promised, there ARE NO PROS!
Cons: Slow, costly, unreliable, promise anything to get your money. 'Depots' are towing company storage lots!
The Bottom Line: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you read this and then use them anyway, don't be shocked when your vehicle doesn't arrive on time. You have been warned.

| paman's Full Review: Dependable Auto Shippers |
Unfortunately, I forgot to check here for the reviews by other Epinion uses about DAS. Hopefully, my experience will help someone else.
First, DAS is recommended by Ebay. DON'T BUY THE HYPE! If you stop reading this review after this paragraph, then remember this: SHOP AROUND! Listen to the experiences of other DAS customers. You probably won't be happy with DAS.
The specifics:
1. The Sales Pitch: DAS, like so many other companies that depend on phone and Internet orders, seems to have mastered the art of being terrific to deal with over the phone, but failing to deliver on their promises. Their phone people are great to deal with; patient, answers your questions, yada yada yada. And then....
2. The Details: Bought the car online, and paid for the shipping on Oct 19th. The car was dropped off at the shipping location on Oct 22. It sat there for TWO WEEKS! I can only hope it wasn't vandalized, or had items stolen off of the car.
3. Delivering on their Promises: Suddenly, delivery dates are delivery 'estimates.' How bad is their bait-and-switch game? My car was supposed to be here today, 11/6. The new 'estimated' delivery date? 11/11 (a Sunday) which will probably end up being 11/12 (a holiday). So when WILL it arrive? Who knows?
Here's one of the things that makes this situation even worse. When you call their 800 number, they will give you a song-and-dance about how they have to wait until they have a truck scheduled to go through that area. Why is this such a crock of BS? There is a MAJOR wholesale auction only 18 miles away, that sells and ships about 1,000-1,500 cars and trucks every week! Most of those cars are shipped--you guessed it--on CAR HAULERS! So, it wasn't exactly as if there weren't a couple hundred car hauling trucks going by this location every week.
Bottom Line: Hauling cars isn't rocket science. Major auto dealers buy cars and have them shipped quickly and safely around the country week in and week out. I don't know why DAS hasn't done what they promised; they could be slow in paying their drivers and therefore have trouble recruiting good drivers; they could be operating on a shoestring budget; who knows? Bottom line is, you WON'T get your car when promised!
If you are thinking about using them to deliver a car or motorcycle for a milestone date, such as Christmas, a birthday or anniversary, DON'T DO IT. If you like being promised something, and then that promise turns into a puff of smoke due to excuses, this is the company for you.
UPDATE: I drove by the 'depot' where the car was supposed to arrive. It was a gravel and grass lot owned by a local tow truck company surrounded by a chain link fence in one of the WORST parts of town. Every car in the lot, including a Bentley and a Jaguar, had a coating of dust on it that you could write in with your finger. You could have broken into the lot with a $20 Walmart bolt cutter!
They just happened to be open Saturday. Normally, they were not even unlocked. They had no idea when my car would be there. While I was standing there, the truck drove up with my car on it. I stayed and waited for it to be unloaded, then got it out of there before sundown!
Based upon the security (or lack thereof), the fact that they had no idea my car was enroute, and the overall feeling that they didn't know what was going on, or if they could keep track of a car, I still DO NOT recommend DAS.
If you read this review, and the others like it about DAS, and still use them, heaven help you!
