We recedntly moved from Nashville, TN to L.A. (over 2,000 miles). After shopping around, we ended up with a 16' Penske truck and car hauler to tow my Audi TT.

I chose Penske because of the positive reviews I read regarding the better trucks and good prices. They beat U-Haul's price by over $450! Plus, they gave us and extra day for free.

The truck was an almost-new GMC with under 5,000 miles on it. I was flawless, ran great, got acceptable gas mileage (about 8mpg, packed to the gills and hauling my car on a trailer). It had a CD player with an aux in, which was awesome. It pulled all our stuff over the steep mountian grades with no problem. It was a safe, reliable, comfortable truck which was so important for a 2K mile haul. We even gave it a name: "Big Yellow" lol.

I did have to take advantage of their roadside assistance. We were in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma, and the trailer got a flat. Within an hour or so, we were back on the road with a brand new wheel and tire, thanks to the quick roadside service!

The employees were all very courteous both on the phone and at the locations. They also let us pick the car hauler up 2 days after picking up the truck, and drop it off 2 days before returning the truck, which made things much easier for us.

I have only one complaint: the pickup location (in Nashville) was understaffed and it took about 45 minutes to actually get the truck. Part of it was because they decided to swap our assigned truck for a newer one (good thing), but part of it was because there was only one person to handle the office that morning (bad thing!). But to make up for it they gave us moving blankets and a dolly for free.

I loved the price, the equipment, and especially the employees. Everyone was just so nice. Thanks, Penske, for making my move less of a headache!
