Good oven, but bad door design. Door won't stay closed even after repeated service calls

Pros: This oven is easy to use and cooks well.

Cons: The oven has some definite problems with the door design.

This particular model was the builder's choice for our new home. (Purchased February 2003.) The only problem I have had with it is repeated service calls to try and tighten the oven door hinges. Walking past the oven causes the oven light to come on and you have to push on the oven door to get it to close tight enough for the self cleaning option to start. The Maytag repairman added an upgrade kit which he said was supposed to help solve the problem, and admitted that the door had a "design flaw." The kit didn't work, and the door loosens up again after about 3 or 4 days. We have one month on the warranty, and plan to request a replacement since we've had about 4 service calls in less than one year.

Except for the door design flaw, the oven works fine.
