I want you to know that I had just purchased a Bernina 1100DA Serger to replace my Pfaff serger, when I saw this Babylock demonstrated. I used it for myself and then just bought it!
I love it!
It is without question the easiest coverstitch serger I've ever used. It is easy to thread. The stitch quality is beyond compare. Never have I seen another serger produce such a lovely satin looking stitch with no puckering. I've been able to go from light weight fabric to heavy denim with out a skipped stitch and the look of the stitch stays the same.
I love the 1100DA but it doesn't hold a candle to this Babylock.
You can use all eight threads at the same time. It is effortless to switch it from coverstitch to four thread. You really have to go look at one of these. It's my second coverstitch serger and my fourth serger altogether.
