Pros:Automatic button-holes, needle threader, variety of stitches, drop bobbin, and price
Cons:needs regular cleaning
The Bottom Line: Perfect for beginners, as well as regular sewing.
I bought this machine when I first moved away from home. Of course, money was tight and I couldnt afford anything fancy, but I refused to give up sewing. I bought the hobby at my local Pfaff dealer. I fell in love with some of its features right there in the store. It has an automatic button-hole feature and a needle threader! I brought it to my new apartment with joy in heart and immediately put it work.

I may have loved it from the start, but over time my hobby has endeared itself to me even more. Before my hobby, I had never used a drop bobbin. Through use I have discovered that it is a handy feature. It is easy and quick, you simply drop your threaded bobbin in and youre ready to go. And even though the slot needs cleaned regularly, it is easy to use.
The button-hole feature is everything I hoped it would be. All you have to do is stick the button in the back of the foot, and place the needle at the beginning of where you want the hole, and youre set. The machine sets the size of the hole and sews it for you. All you have to do is hold down the pedal until it gets done.
The needle threader is also amazing, just like I knew it would be. No more trying to stick the thread through the needle. Now I just have to pull the threader down and hook the thread on it. I love all things that make my life easier, so you can imagine how much I love this feature.
On top of all the fancy features, there are more stitches than I will ever need, and all the feet I need to do them with. It also came with cleaning equipment and multiple bobbins, all this for a very reasonable price.
Im sure that in time I will move on to bigger and better things, but for now the Hobby more than fulfills my needs. I wouldnt call myself a beginning sewer, but this machine would be perfect to learn on, and it would continue being perfect for quite some time. It is a great machine for a reasonable price, and Im sure it will be quite some time before I give it up.
