| grandgram's Full Review: West Bend 84194 Slow Cooker |
I have this West Bend 4 quart round slow cooker, not this number mine is several years old. It have been a great help to me while, my husband and I spend 4 months in our Townhouse in Texas. By using this slow cooker, I can have meals ready after playing 18 holes of golf. We have days we go sight seeing and then I can have a meal ready when we return home. It has been a reliable cooking tool. My slow cooker is tan with brown stripe trim.
My slow cooker has a separate cooking pot, that you can use on the stove to start your meal, such as browning a pot roast, chops or ground beef. The food is then placed on the heating element, which has several heat settings. You can adjust it to how long you plan to be away, from #l which is just keeping warm, to #5 for a faster cooking time. I have depended on it on many occasions, even if we are have family visit, it is a way to fix a meal and enjoy their stay.
I have another slow cookers back in Iowa, a West Bend with the crock liner that can be removed. Both these slow cookers have given me good service and I would recommend anyone to try them. They are reasonably priced, and will give you years of service. FOOD PREPARED WITH LOVING CARE, IS A LIFT TO THE CONTENTED BODY!!!!!
