I have purchased two of these models, for two separate houses, and still enjoy the ease of cleaning and assembly, however, both broke in the same place: the metal round die that is attached to the base of the blender snapped right off under not-so-difficult blending conditions. The unit looks very nice with clean styling, and it is quite easy to change from the blender to the food processor, but the motor is not very powerful, as you'd find on a stand-alone food processing unit. When chopping ice in the blender, it is quite a monumental task, as is food processing any 'dry' mix. When the ingredients have more liquid in them, the unit does a little better.
The design is a winner, but the product is a loser.
