Pros: Large capacity, high quality, does an incredible job. Easy to use/clean.
Cons: High cost, very heavy, large, noisy.
The Bottom Line: If you do a lot of cooking/baking, this is definitely worth the high price. Otherwise, save some money and buy a smaller model.

This mixer is just incredible. It does everything but the dishes.
Unfortunately, it's also very heavy, too heavy to be lifting into cabinets, so it lives on my kitchen counter full-time. Fortunately, mine is in the gorgeous retro jadeite green color, and it looks terrific on display.
10 speeds, 475 watts of power, I think this mixer could mix cement. Is there anything this mixer can't do? It comes with three attachments – whisk, paddle, and dough-hook. Be warned, you cannot use the dough hook on higher speeds.
Among the features is a slow-start, where the mixer gradually picks up speed. This is nice because it reduces splashing and keeps the messes down to a minimum. If you’ve ever had to clean cake batter off your kitchen ceiling, you’ll definitely appreciate this!
The bowl capacity is 6 quarts, and surprisingly, I’ve had it filled to capacity. It’s so easy to make double and triple batches and freeze the excess. Also useful when I’m cooking for a crowd, such as a church potluck . Unfortunately, due to the large bowl size, it can be difficult to mix very small quantities, as I once discovered when I tried to make a very small amount of whipped cream. The whisk just barely reached to the top of the liquid in the bowl! So unless you do a LOT of baking, or cook for a crowd, this might be overkill.
Unfortunately, this is so large that it won't slide under my kitchen cabinets, like smaller stand-mixers, but I love my kitchenaid so much that I just deal with the fact.
