The Black & Decker Dust Buster/Spill Buster that I just purchased a few months ago is the third Dust Buster that I have owned.

The first one I bought when they first came out and I used it constantly.
The only problem was that it only lasted a few years and it would no longer hold a charge, so I had to buy another one that was almost the same except that it was somewhat larger.


I still have that one, I use this for small cleaning upstairs.
It doesn't stay charged as well as it use to, but it still works quite well when I am in a hurry and don't want to lug out my vacuum.


The new Black & Decker DustBuster/SpillBuster series DB400, I use every day.
The latest model has been improved quite a lot.
This little machine has so much more power.
I find it will even pick up cat litter, the clumping kind, something that my large vacuum has a problem doing efficiently.
Litter is one of the hardest substances to pick up because it has such a powdery consistency and it spread everywhere.


My Dust Buster will pick this up with no problem at all, leaving my floor completely clean and free from any litter.


I especially like the fact that if the litter is wet it can be picked up as well, something that my vacuum and all other Duster Busters could not do.


The Dust Buster comes with it's own charging unit that I keep plugged in at all times in my kitchen.
It is always ready for any kind of wet or dry spills and comes in quite handy in my house with all the pets that I have, a husband and a four year old Grandson.


The bowl of the housing unit contains a small filter that will pick up any spills that it vacuums up.
This filter only has to be rinsed in soapy water and dried completely,it can be used over and over.
There are also scented filter packets that you can buy that will keep the filter fresh smelling and not have an odor from whatever wet spills you have picked up.


I have found that the newer models are more powerful and hold a charge much longer than the older models and this is a greatly improved factor.


The battery is a nickel-cadmium rechargeable and recyclable battery.
This battery can be replaced by removing 2 screws in the back.
You can send away to the company for a new battery.
This is something that the older ones could not do, when the battery died in them, so did the Dust Buster and you had to purchase a new one.
Replacing the battery is a great idea as you can now keep the Duster Buster working just by replacing the battery and not have to buy a whole new unit.


The warranty is extended from one year to two years which will help if it should break down after one year of usage.


I really do like the new model Dust Buster.
I find that it has been improved a lot and I would recommend the Dust Buster to anyone who needs a cordless hand vacuum for all the little spills and messes that seem to happen on a daily basis.
This vacuum has helped me quite a bit in the kitchen and all through my house and it is so easy to get to without having to dig for my large vacuum.
It is always within reaching distance and I reach for this constantly without no trouble at all.
