Because of my recent move I had to buy a new washer and dryer. Space being limited I got a one-piece Frigidaire (Crown Series) heavy duty unit. It has all the features my old set had, 3 load sizes, 3 temperature settings and 3 fabric type choices plus 8 cycles and 2 speed combinations.

Before selecting this particular unit I went shopping. Never having any experience with a one-piece unit I decided to check them out.
It was a learning experience to say the least. I had no idea how many varieties were out there--light-weights--middle-weights--heavy-weights, cycle upon cycle of this and that, hot, cold or warm water or any combination thereof. There were tall ones and short ones but actually they all seemed tall to me as I am so short (5ft). Some were excluded at once, because of height, as I could not reach to take the clothes out of the dryer, which is on the top. Looks played a part in my decision. I liked the white with the control panel in off-white across the middle. Price also came into play. This one happened to be on sale from $895.00 to $695.00.
Once I started using my new Frigidaire (Crown Series) heavy duty unit I found the opening in the washer took some getting used to. It is only about half the size of a regular washer. Just open your own washer about half way and you'll see what I mean. But the agitator can be turned to move the tub around and that enables me to reach all the clothes to remove them and I don't have to worry about falling in as the hole is too small.
Noise level is about the same as you would expect from any washer and dryer and speaking of level, it levelled up nicely and does not try to walk across the floor on each spin cycle, and most important of all, the clothes come out clean.
Give a look at the one-piece Frigidaire (Crown Series) heavy duty unit if you are in the market for a washer and dryer. I found mine at Best Buy.
Happy laundry day.
