| opale's Full Review: Frigidaire FWT449 Washer |
I have been using this Frigidaire Front Loader now for one year. When my husband and I went shopping for a new washer and dryer neither of us had a front loader in mind. After using her for a year I must say that I have no idea why I ever used a top loading machine.
The main reasons that I suggest purchasing this machine are very easy to list. The Fridgidaire uses one half the amount of water that a top loader does. If you have any consideration for the environment this is great! As a added plus you will find that you use approximately half the soap that you did in a top loading machine. Then there is a real great feature that I am so impressed with I can't say enough...because of the tumbling action vs. agitating your clothing last much longer! I had such a reduction in ripped seems and garments that get out of shape I thought my teen-age boys had finally settled down....
Another great feature that to some folks may be very important is the stacking feature. Yes, you can place the dryer on top of the washer because of the control knobs on the front. There is also a custom counter that you can order to place the set in like a regular counter area!
Now on the down side and I honestly must say that when you consider the investment pays off so well might not be considered so down is the cost which is around $700.00 at Sears.
