| dakota7's Full Review: Miele Novotronic W1918A Front Load Washer |
Okay, so I bragged about my Miele vacuum cleaner, now it is time to write about my Miele W/D.
People often complain that these high-end appliances are expensive. They are--but for a good reason. Durability and quality. The American manufacturers of Duet, Calypso still don't have the solidity the German makers (Bosch, Miele) have built in to their machines. Sorry guys! Keep trying...
Why do I love my Miele? First it is very easy to use, not all cluttered up with digital displays (another reason I hate high-end American machines--just something else to malfunction IMHO) So you say the tubs are small? Maybe a little bit, but you can cram alot of clothes in these machines and they come out sparkling clean. No need for bleach ever, did you know that bleach actually eats your clothes over time anyhow? Whites stay white in the Miele.
The machine heats the water super hot to get even tough stains out, with little pre-treatment. I am able to get Tide HE (high-efficiency) in my local store and this cuts down the sudsing action in the machine. Since the spin cycle is faster and more efficient, drying time is cut in half.
The only thing I miss about US washers is the quick cycle. My Miele, even on quick wash takes about 40 min. from start to finish.
Add all the pluses above to minimal water usage per load and you have the best washing machine in the business. Reliable, solid, quiet even when on high spin--what more could you ask for?
Miele is Immer Besser!!
