Pros:Nice large coverage sunglasses; can wear them over eyeglasses.
Cons:Can be expensive, so be careful where you buy them.
The Bottom Line: Excellent quality polarized sunglasses with UV protection. They fit over regular eyeglasses with ease.
I bought some new Haven Sunglasses recently because my old ones just plain wore out. I do admit I enjoy the "Fit Over" style of sunglasses in which you wear the large sunglasses right over your eyeglasses.
These Haven Sunglasses don't look like the typical "Fit Over" sunglasses in that they are not huge. They do NOT look like you just came out of a surgical eye procedure either! That is a huge plus to me. These look nice and sleek and are actually stylish. The best part of all is that they fit OVER your eyeglasses, which is great. You don't have to keep switching back and forth between prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses, which is what I always used to do for years. They are also very comfortable and you never feel like these are cumbersome or awkward. I forget that I'm actually wearing two pair of glasses at once!
These Haven Sunglasses are curved so they block out most of the sun's rays from different angles. The gray tint to the lens is also a good one and enables me to see quite well. They have a panorama lens, which means that they make maximum use of the lens shade to cover your eyes from the rays of the sun to expand your views. These are made with wrap-around lenses. (You should always try to protect your eyes from the sun because my eye doctor told me that everyone will get cataracts sooner or later. It's WHEN, not just IF you get them. If you can prolong that fact, all the better.)
As far as sunglasses go, Haven Sunglasses are very well-made and I expect them to last me many years, with a little bit of care. I don't often purchase new sunglasses, so when I do, I try to buy a pair that will last me. There are no obvious screws that will work loose and the stems are a non-slip material. These are also premium polarized lenses, also a huge benefit because you get a lot less glare from reflective surfaces (such as water or shiny cars) and UV protection from harmful sun rays. The nylon frame is very lightweight too, which is great. I sometimes can get irritated red marks on my nose from wearing heavy glasses, so this is not a problem with these lightweight sunglasses.
Excellent quality Haven Sunglasses can be purchased through some local optician's offices or through online stores, such as Amazon.com. Prices will vary, but overall, I found that purchasing these online seems to be a better deal. When purchased at the optician's office, these can cost up to $70, but when purchased online, they will be more in the range of $35.
