I really wanted to like this clock radio--it's inexpensive, takes up very little space and hold various ipods (ipod touch, all versions, plus nano, all versions). I thought it would be great for my teenagers to put in their rooms, but it just didn't work out.

What is it: A clock/radio with built in Ipod docking station. The clock radio offers two independent alarm settings, each can activate a docked ipod to provide specific wake up music. You can also download free ipod apps to track sleep times, store alarms, etc. Comes in many colors, silver, purple, blue and pink included.
Why it didn't work: simply said, the clock is way too small for anything but nightstand use (and even then it's not that great). I put the LCD light on brightest setting--hoping to provide better visibility) but it's still tough to read across a small room.
The speakers are also fairly weak--not that i expected a clock radio to replace a high end Bose system or a receiver+speakers setup. I would expect, however, that maximum volume was loud enough to wake up a teenager (ok, maybe that's too high of a bar). But still, it isn't as loud as I had expected.
Ihome produces good products, but I think most users would be better off with one of their Ipod and Clock Stations that have larger displays. The best (and my current replacement) have large glowing numbers rather than a small LCD with time printed in black on it.
