Pros:Nice clean Ionized air in a short time.
Cleans up to 500 Sq Ft.
Cons:Filter cleaning somewhat difficult.
No other color choices other than black.
The Bottom Line: A quality product that does exactly as advertised.
I'm very impressed with the Ionic Pro Turbo and it works exactly as advertised.

I think some folks may think it doesn't work very well because its so simple and silent.
Human nature is to assume if it doesn't move or make any noise it doesn't work well.
That's is simply not the case with this unit.
It does require regular cleanings about once a week but it really does the job removing dust/mold/dander out of the air.
Being that Ive got 5 Cats and 1 Dog as well as live by a dusty road outside of our home this unit is under some pretty harsh use.
However, it has made a great impression.
If you could only see the dust the filter grid collects!
The area the Ionic Pro Turbo is cleaning is about 350 Sq ft.
Now on to understand how the Ionic Pro Turbo Speed settings work:
The difference between speed settings has to do with how quickly you want to move the air through the metal grid filter and trap dirt/dust/dander particles.
That is determined on how small, large, or how dusty the environment is.
In my case its obvious I have to set to high.
You would be surprised just how much dust gets in the air cleaning the litter box even using a supposedly dust free formula!
To understand how this unit works is pretty cool.
The simple science of creating ions (electrically charged particles) that cause air to move through and across the filter grid making anything present in the air stick to it.
Also there is a special additional ionizer wire that, from what I understand, kills bacteria as well as a special honeycomb shaped grid in leading out of the unit that helps remove smog.
Although we don't have smog where I live, the Ionic Pro Turbo has it as a standard feature.
A little about maintenance:
The Ionic Pro Turbo has a light on it that tells you when its time to clean but I have also found that at times it will have a lot of crackling noises if the dust is either very heavy or you have attracted and caught some pet hair.
It always crackles a little during general use but until it gets really dirty or gets a bit of hair trapped around or on the grid its not very audible or noticeable.
Find a piece of metal of some sort when the Ionic Pro Turbo is unplugged and ready to be cleaned.
Be ready to touch the metal filter grid with the piece of metal in your hand to prevent static charged shocks.
Believe me, they can offer a good jolt!
Kinda like running your feet on the carpet with socks and touching something metal.
Make sure when cleaning with a damp cloth or cleaning using tap water you get ALL the water off the filter grid. If you don't it can cause electrical disruptions to the unit if it isn't completely dry.
The factory says wait 24 hours between cleanings to dry but I use a hair dryer and have it dry in just a few minutes.
I only tap water clean it when its got dirt in areas i cannot seem to get with a damp cloth.
I have only one quibble about this unit and it is that it does not have the easiest to remove filter grid (mentioned by another poster) although it is secure and seems durable.
Finally last thing to check and clean periodically is the smog filter.
It is placed in the outgoing airflow past the filter grid and again is honeycomb in shape as mentioned above.
To clean smog filter:
Use a Vacuum cleaner attachment with light feathery bristles usually reserved for upholstery.
Finally, clean the bacteria killing wire by pulling up on the tab on the top of the unit.
When looking directly at the unit from the front its at the 12 o'clock position.
It simply slides up and self cleans the wire.
Be SURE to push it all the way back down when done or the unit will NOT activate!
A final note:
After looking around at competing units it's hard to find fault with this unit.
It ends up saving you money using only 10 watts and has no need for replacement filters all while doing so doing a great job cleaning the air in the process.
Although I have only owned the Ionic Pro Turbo for a few weeks as of this review, I feel its long enough to provide a decent review of its abilities.
I highly recommended the Ionic Pro Turbo to anyone looking for much cleaner air at home.
