Pros: Relaxes expression lines a little, doesn't sting, can be combined with other skin care products
Cons: I don't see major improvements lines, have to use it daily to get any effect
I bought a five pack of the most popular Isomers serums from ShopNBC not long ago and had a disastrous experience with their Isomers Lip Firming Serum. I like the other serums though and have not had any problematic issues with them. Isomers Wrinkle Viper Skin Smoothing Serum is not bad but not great. I have better success with the other serums in the kit.
About Isomers Wrinkle Viper Skin Smoothing Serum
* Zero in on deep wrinkles and facial expression lines with our exclusive anti-aging multi-peptide concentrate used at maximum strength to smooth out the look of expression lines and dynamic wrinkles, making the skin look younger and more radiant.
This product comes in a .51 ounce glass bottle with a dropper top. The label is red and the serum is clear with no scent at all. It is a bit thick and somewhat sticky.
This serum contains Argireline also known as Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. This ingredient works like a mini Botox injection (very mini) by freezing the muscles under expression lines for a smoother look. It works over time and you have to be very consistent with the use to get benefits of it. It also contains Syn’ake which is supposed to also smooth wrinkles.
To use, apply a few drops of Isomers Wrinkle Viper Skin Smoothing Serum directly on wrinkles and expression lines. You can then go ahead and use your own face cream or whatever you use on your face for hydration. This serum doesn't do anything instantly. It isn't a filler or plumper, at least not on my skin. However, if it is used consistency every day for a few weeks, you may see expression lines relaxing a bit.
I have used this serum daily for about three weeks. It feels a bit sticky on my skin and dries to a tight feeling. I always use moisturizer over it so the tightness didn't matter. My skin doesn't sting or become irritated when I use the serum. Now and then, the area would feel slightly tingly but not painful.
After a couple of weeks, I did note that the one line around my mouth that I hate seemed less prominent. Just a bit less but hey, less is good! The lines in my forehead were possibly slightly less pronounced. The results aren't enough for me to be blown away but there were SOME results.
The thing is, if I stop using the serum, I will lose any benefits I got because the very mild freezing of the muscles will be gone. I used a product called Avotone and got pretty good results from that and it contains the same basic ingredients, however, I used it for several months daily. Then stopped. And the results almost immediately were gone.
This serum is a decent one for people who want to treat expression lines without Botox or other injectables. I feel that hyaluronic acid is a better way tackle lines because it immediately plumps them by bringing water to the surface but both can be used without any interaction.
Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Tropolone.
You can purchase Isomers Wrinkle Viper Skin Smoothing Serum on their website and on a few websites across the net. I don't believe the products are sold offline but I could be wrong. Isomers is a Canadian company and they may have stores in Canada that sell their products. I have not seen any here in the US. The price for a .51 ounce bottle is $29.00 but check ShopNBC.com for better deals. Ebay also has this product listed.
I don't think I will repurchase Isomers Wrinkle Viper Skin Smoothing Serum only because I haven't seen enough results to merit buying it alone. I would buy it again if it were on sale or if I got a great deal on another kit though. It helps a bit to relax expression lines but don't expect Botox-like results. It just ain't gonna happen! 3 stars.
