I traded a pair of my sunglasses for a Pink Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet with a friend because we both liked what the other had. I do a lot of trading with my accessory crazed friends. I like it but it's quite big on my wrist and the pink color is a bit garish. I would have preferred it in its original gold or more so, in silver.

About the Bracelet

This bracelet has an 8" long fairly thick chain with a toggle closure. There is a rod that slips through a ring that keeps the bracelet secure. It is not adjustable. There are two "starter" charms on it. One is a puffed heart with the words "Juicy Couture" written on it and the other is the signature Juicy Couture J logo. It is a very pink rose gold color. It's so super pink that it sort of cheapens the look of the bracelet, at least in my mind. This is a charm bracelet and charms can be added to the open links or you can simply wear it as is. This bracelet is metal plated in shiny pink. This is not the neon pink starter bracelet. That is called Neon Pink and is very different looking. This one is a very shiny deep rose gold shade simply called "Pink" in descriptions.

My Experience

I like Juicy Couture but don't have many items from the brand because it's an expensive one and I don't have a ton of disposable income to spend on brand names such as this. However, when a friend of mine offered up her new bracelet for a pair of my sunglasses that didn't look good on me, I decided to trade and get myself a Juicy bracelet!

The Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet Bracelet in Pink is a bold. It has a thick O chain and the charms are large. The rod easily clasps through the toggle but I have small wrists and the length is longer than I would like. It slips down my hand if I don't wear other bracelets to stop it. Because the bracelet isn't adjustable, it's best for larger wrists although crafty people or a jeweler can remove a few of the chain links to shorten the bracelet. I am not crafty and haven't gone to a jeweler yet to have this done.

The puffed heart charm is pretty but a bit large at an inch and the J is a nod to the brand but it seems a bit like overkill to have two items that say or depict the brand name. I guess juicy wants people to know you are wearing their jewelry and I know many people want everyone to know that they are wearing their jewelry!

As for the chain, there are many charms you can buy from Juicy Couture to accessorize and customize the bracelet or you can add your own. The links are big enough to easily add dangling charms. My problem is finding rose gold charms or charms that don't clash with the shiny pink finish. I was told by a fashionable friend though that charms don't need to match the base metal and anything goes these days. I am older and still a touch matchy matchy which apparently is a dated way of accessorizing.

The brand sells a very pretty gold starter bracelet which is easier to match charms with as well as a gorgeous silver bracelet, both exactly the same but different shades of metal. The silver probably would have been my first choice.

This bracelet comes in a pretty pink Juicy Couture gift box. The charms are at the very end of the chain near the toggle allowing for a person to add their own charms on the main part of the chain.

I have worn my Pink Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet about five times now. It does inch down my hand so I wear other bracelets lower on my wrist to keep the chain from sliding right off my hand although I don't think that would happen unless I shook my hand hard or otherwise forced the bracelet to slide off. It just annoys me to have a heavy chain hanging so far down my hand.

I have not put any extra charms on this bracelet yet although I have been eyeing a few that I like and that I think will look good on the chain. It looks just fine with the puffed heart and J charms alone but will look even better with an assortment of charms that customize it for my personality.

The bracelet has not tarnished or discolored and has kept its shine. While I am not bowled over by the color, it seems that others are. I get tons of compliments on the bracelet whenever I wear it. I think it is because it is so unique. The quality really does show through too even without the bold Juicy Couture logos.

I use a soft jewelry cloth when I remove the bracelet and keep it in its box. I think it is time to visit a jeweler and have him or her remove a couple of the links then replace the toggle so that I can get better use from the bracelet and so that it won't slide down my hand. I can almost wear this bracelet as an anklet but it wouldn't have much room to move and the charms are too large for my ankle.

If you have larger wrists, it would be perfect. My wrists are 5.75". This bracelet accommodates a 7" wrist easily. My sister tried it on and it fit her fine with movement but no sliding down her hand.

The Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet is great for younger women who like wearing fashionable brands and who want to start a charm bracelet. It's hard to beat the "Juicy" quality and it's very trendy. I am older but still like to wear this type of thick chain bracelet. I am getting used to the unusual pink metal and am finding that the bracelet matches with any other color metal without clashing or looking out of place. Once it is shortened, I will get much more use out of it.

You can buy a Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet in Pink, Gold, or Silver as well as an assortment of neon colors on several websites that sell the Juicy brand. I am not sure where it is sold offline but many department stores sell Juicy Couture clothing and accessories. The price appears to vary quite a bit but the pink bracelet is about $47.00 from what I have seen. The retail price is $58.00.

The Bottom Line

This bracelet is pretty and unique. It definitely has a lot of juicy Couture branding which many JC lovers will appreciate. It's a unique pink shade that is deeper in color than rose gold. It's shiny, chunky, and eye catching. The bracelet is a bit long though and may be too long for smaller wrists. It's quite long for mine. Although it isn't immediately adjustable, you can shorten the bracelet by removing a couple of links. I would suggest having a professional do this unless you're very crafty. The charms look good on their own and the bracelet is ready for any charms you want to add. I like it but don't love it for the reasons I explained. I think it's more for younger women but I get compliments every time I wear mine! 

 I am rating the Pink Juicy Couture Dreaming In Color Bracelet 3.5 stars but have to round up or down. There is nothing at all wrong with the quality but the length and the somewhat odd color along with the big logo charms lead me to go to 3 stars. I recommend it though to anyone who likes deep rose gold and the Juicy brand.
