Ease of Use:
Pros:comfy, removable cushions, SAFE, no slumping baby,
Cons:bulky & heavy (but safe) hard to use LATCH, takes up room
The Bottom Line: hard to install but worth it to guarantee safety. absolutely the best seat ever owned. cadillac of car seats
the directions state that if your vehicle seat slants too much for the car seat to be level with the ground, you can use a rolled up towel to place between the car seat and the vehicle seat to make them level. i have to do this with my car. in most vehicles, you'll need to move the front passenger seat up significantly to make room in the back for this car seat (unless placed in middle seat) when properly installed, theres plenty of room for you to adjust the straps, and to recline the baby more than far enough back. my son started using this seat at a month old, and he never once slumped of shifted. this seat comes equipped with phenominal cushions and infant supports that are all removable when your baby grows. the cover comes off easily for cleaning, and is made of sturdy material to withstand a child for years. stays looking clean even when it's filthy! this is great for someone who leaves this seat in one vehicle. if your going to be moving it around from vehicle to vehicle, it may be quite a pain because of the size and weight of this seat. but it is what makes it so safe for your baby. i recently took it on an airplane, and it didnt even fit rear facing. not even close! front facing, it was very cramped! LATCH system is very hard to use in the rear facing position because the straps have to go over the base and under childs butt, and through to the other side making it too short to reach from tether to tether. i can get it to fit, but it takes a good 15-20 minutes to mess with. and still its almost impossible to get tightly secured. front facing will be just fine, but for the rear facing, i have to use the vehicle's seat belt. it gets more secure this way. i had a yukon xl when i first got this seat and i still had to move the front passenger seat up, now i have a small Equinox, and it still fits. but i have a booster seat in the back for my older daughter too, so theres absolutely no room for a middle passenger.
