| klgarner's Full Review: Graco Cirrus LiteRider 6956 Standard Stroller |
There are a lot of $300+ strollers out there. This isn't one of them. I received it as a baby gift when my daughter was born and I think it sold at them time for around $65 at Walmart.
It's not a stroller that you would keep forever and pass down from child to child, but for the price, I think it's an excellent buy.
Things I like about this stroller:
LOVED the three point harness. It was very easy to fasten, comfortable for the baby to wear, but my daughter could not undo it herself, even when she got older
Large wheels make it easy to push over rough terrain, lawns, etc
Big storage basket under the stroller holds a lot of stuff
Foam handlebar is very comfortable to push for a long time, it was the right height for me too
Removable seat and shade covers make it easy to wash up spills and dirt
See through vinyl window at the back helps see baby when shade is down
Wheels are very agile and maneuverable
Held up very well over three years of heavy use, flew cross country many times, walked the trails at Yosemite and the Grand Canyon with it and even used it as a luggage cart on occasion
Things I wasn't so crazy about:
Only two recline positions, bolt upright or completely flat
Impossible to access items in basket if the seat is reclined
Sides of stroller are very uncomfortable to lean against if baby falls asleep in upright position, or cannot sit up without assistance yet
Handlebar height not adjustable, was too short for my husband
Foam on handler started breaking up toward the end of the 3 yr period. Looked tacky and there was no way to fix it.
Impossible to change diapers in this stroller when baby turns into toddler, due to the protective bar in the front
Medium to heavyweight stroller, cannot be carried for long
Closing of stroller is not intuitive, the back must be laid down first, otherwise it gets jammed and is very difficult to remedy
Handlebar is not reversible, baby can only be pushed facing forward
That sounds like a lot of complaints, but really those were rather nit-picky problems. For the most part, I was extremely pleased with this stroller. I would not hesitate to buy it again, assuming I was still looking in the same price range. I believe I received excellent value for my money.
