This is for Camp Dixie in Georgia, not North Carolina (as I am unsure if they are affiliated).
This is a poorly managed camp. I made the mistake of changing the camps that he normally attends to offer a change of scenery for him. I regret that decision.
Their website states "Camp Dixie is dedicated to providing your child with an exceptional camping program, new friendships, and memories to last a lifetime." The only principles my son received from this camp are horrible memories that will last a lifetime.
He spent most of his days in a dilapidated cabin. The "swimming " they offer would be an ice cold lake. Tennis is not a paved court, but dirt. As I read back through the activities on the website, I was angered. Their list is misleading - you have been warned.
Unlike the previous camps he has attended (Camp Baco & Camp Eagle Hill) this camp is poorly managed and should be closed.
I read all the reviews before posting. I believe the only reason this camp is still open is because many people have not sent their child to a respectable adventure camp. They are not aware of what a camp is expected to be.
