Camp Pocono Trails has changed my life and I've gone back every summer since 2007. This was not the first weight-loss camp that I had attended, the difference between these camps were night and day. I felt accepted, motivated, and most importantly for a camper FULL. I came my first summer to CPT a complete reck, I had no friends in High School and I did nothing to try to improve myself. Since then my life has completely changed, I have friends and really built up my confidence. Now I'm a sophomore in college, I don't think I could've gone through my freshmen year without all the things that I had come to learn at camp. I was capable of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, enter a new environment, make friends, and feel good about just being me. I believe this camp makes miracles happen, the person I was at 16 and who I am at 19 are completely different in a really amazing way.I am now a staff member at Camp Pocono Trails and just being there with the children motivates me to work hard and hopefully give them the experience that I had. I've seen so many children come in homesick, uncomfortable changing in front of others, or even talking to others transformed into confident and happy kids. Send your child there for one summer and they'll come back changed, probably hoping to go back for more.
