Camp Shane,
Best experience, best summer, best overall feeling. Camp Shane was the best summer I have had, even though I was only there for 3 weeks out of the summer, I learned a lot. Everyone at camp was so nice and accepted everyone, unlike where I live, people do not base you on what you look like, just your personality. I lost 22 pounds, and 18.25 inches in those 3 very short weeks. I also gained self confidence, and self respect for myself. I had my first real girlfriend and she was amazing, she did not base me on my outside, but she based me on my outgoing personality (what I try to show every girl about me). I miss everyone from camp because Camp Shane was a utopia for me, I lost weight, had self confidence, and was respected because of my personality and not my body. After this past summer, I want to return back to camp for many years to come, for it being a camper, or even a counselor in a few years. I met the nicest people of my life at camp and I still keep in touch with them everyday via chat, or phone. Everyone at my school asks me what camp was like and are like, "Is it like the movie Heavyweights?" I tell them its nothing like it and its just like a regular camp but you happen to loose weight. You eat right, and do lots of fun activities. Free play was fun because I got to spend time with my girlfriend, who actually listened to me. My favorite sport at camp was softball, I played against one other camp while I was at camp and even though we lost, it was such a fun experience. Camp Shane is what I now look forward to every summer, not sitting on the couch watching television, but now at camp loosing weight and feeling great. I love you camp Shane, and I love what you did for me.
