  • User Rating: Excellent
  • Camp Facilities:
  • Responsiveness of Camp staff:
  • Financial Aid Available:
Pros:Good food, great location, great staff. Most campers come back next year.
Cons:Expensive tuition, plus laundry fees etc. Bus trip overpriced too.

My daughter (now 12) is back for her third session. She loves it. She tells me that when she has a daughter, she too will be going to this camp. Sounds like a good mix of work and play. Its pretty expensive (as middle class camps go) but if you can afford it, a memorable summer experience like this for your kid is worth it. Be sure you send sun screen up with your camper and try to get them to use it religiously. My girl always gets sunburned a bit, despite all that. For those kids who like horses, there is good riding available along with all the traditional camp activities. Food is good according to my daughter and counselors are "nice". They had a really good rock band show up for a private show last year, they were friends of one of the counselors. I still play the CD my daughter brought home, its really that good. The barn dances are a big hit with the kids and help them develop social skills. Not 100% white and middle/upper class. They try to get a diverse group of kids up there.
