Pros: meeting lots of new people, fantastic staff and training
Cons: leaving, high price (100% worth it)
This summer will be my fourth year returning. I'm 13 and LOVE the camp. The staff is amazing, everybody is super friendly and the coaches know what they're talking about. The counselors are great rooming with because you bond to them quickly. The location is amazing, surrounded by fresh air, pine trees and two beautiful lakes. Food is actually really good, there was never once that i recall where i didn't like the food. You must finish your water before starting a new glass of punch, lemonade, hot chocolate (in the mornings) or whatever else so that you stay hydrated. It was a great social experience for me. I met tons of new friends I'm still in touch with, and i personally rather enjoyed the co-ed part! Though your training groups aren't. Cabins are nice & cozy. There is lots of soccer-time, i improved a bunch, and many activities. My favorites are volleyball and archery. We also have skit night. I hate going home, it's the highlight of my summer. If you can afford it, i strongly suggest you go, it is SO MUCH FUN! I just love this camp!
