batmomm's Full Review: Kolcraft Reclining Umbrella Stroller
This is a lightweight umbrella-type stroller that retails for about $30. I actually got mine with a webpromotion and only paid for shipping. I probably wouldn't have bought it for $30 and would have just bought one of those really cheapies at Kmart for like $12. Boy, would I have missed out. After comparing this stroller to other umbrella-type strollers, I would gladly pay the $30 for this one.
First, it has a really cute blue/green design(at least mine does). The seat has a tiny bit of padding to it for cushion. You can easily switch between two reclining levels. It has a little sun shade on top. You can fold it in one quick foot motion(at least I can, my husband has a little difficulty:))
Second, we bought this mainly for tooling around in the airport when we flew to grandmas. But I ended up using it everywhere. It's convenient for the grocery store, the mall, whatever. The other day I was in the Carter's outlet and T. was running wild through the store and it was one of those stores too small for shopping carts. Thank goodness I had my handy-dandy Kolkraft in my trunk.
I also really liked the fact that it just doesn't seem as flimsy as some of the other cheapies. The wheels swivel nicely so it's easy to push, even over grass. The cloth seat seems more comfortable than those really plasticky ones.
The only drawback is no storage bin, but the baskets at most grocery stores and drugstores fit perfectly over the handles. Obviously this is not the stroller you want to take to a full day at the zoo but to run errands and go for walks in the park, it was just the perect stroller for me. We've used it since he was 6 months and now he's 18 months and I have no intention of stopping until it disintegrates.
