While I myself am not one to sit down and watch this show for my own pleasure, I have to admit it is a good program. I will gladly allow my kids to sit and watch this one, and not have to worry about what they are seeing or hearing.
Sure, to an adult it is pretty silly. Sometimes even annoying. But for a kid it is pretty cute, and can teach some good lessons about how life can treat you.
I was a teenager by the time this show came around, so it wasn't something I watched back then. But as a parent I can see the value in showing this program. It's clean. Lacks the violence of the modern animated series. And for a kid, the music is fun. Course, the only problem with that is that the songs they were taking off on then are like Greek to young people nowadays!! It seemed so cool to hear them sing those 80's songs back then.....my kids must think that music is so un-cool!
Point is, silly as it may seem to us grown-ups, the kids love it and I feel good about letting them watch it.
