Get set to embark on a half-hour adventure full of creativity, excitement, and movement! The environment that this vivid child?s show transpires within is welcoming, colorful, and exciting. The upbeat mood of each episode and the hands on approaches will capture and keep your child?s attention. I encourage you to watch along and follow-up with your own song session and craft time.
This is one show coming from that TV box that we are grateful for and warmly encourage in our home! Two thumbs up or an A+ is easily attached to ranking this show. Or, as we say in Epinionsville, 5 stars! My youngest daughter adores the show, and her attention is kept. What I really appreciate is that throughout the show positive encouragement is exhibited, right choices are encouraged, multi-cultural acceptance is shown, and creativity is sparked.
Another wonderful feature is that your children are encouraged to create with items already in the home front. What a wonderful attribute during an era that materialism is at a peak. The dress up items used will be found in most closets, or inexpensively acquired at your local thrift shop. Your child will be begging for the empty paper towel rolls, left over ribbon remnants, stray buttons, miscellaneous other scraps, and other recyclable type paraphernalia.
One Saturday, after putting Diet-Pepsi into the refrigerator I looked around for the box. I assumed someone had already put it in the recycle bin until later that day when I spotted it in my youngest daughters? room. She had made it into a paper doll home. Carefully she had cut doors, windows, and a skylight. Within the home she had used paper (and lots of tape and staples) to create a stove, fridge, table, bed, and more. She also had made her own people and clothing for them. I was more than impressed! After I complemented the phenomenal home, she exclaimed, ?Wouldn?t Tony, Vivian, and their friends like this?!? Yes Marisa, they would!
The show opens with Tony, Vivian, and the children entrusted to their care pulling into the backyard with numerous boxes. These boxes quickly become a clubhouse extravaganza. And, a colorful one at that! How true it is that children love to create with recyclable products!
Good manners are exampled and encouraged during every episode. From simple things like hanging up coats, picking up items that drop, and clean up to remarkable exhibition of relationships and respect. Tony and Vivian may grind on some adults, but the reality is that they are exampling a positive & encouraging learning environment. Whether your child is in daycare, preschool, or Kindergarten ~ I sincerely hope their caregivers/teachers are just as excited to be with them, as Ton & Viv are to be with the children on this series. Is this possible? Yes! The children in my daycare home experience this. My oldest daughter had a wonderful Kindergarten teacher (six years ago), as does my youngest daughter this year!
During each show there is at least one life application feature. This may be a character builder or a general life knowledge application. On one show the emphasis was bird care. So, proper bird feeder care and placement was discussed. The songs were bird theme, as were the craft, music, and story adventures.
Host Tony and hostess warmly welcome your children to join the whole gang on musical adventures that vary from upbeat little songs to wild and crazy fun. The musical talent your child possesses will definitely be encouraged to surface. The musical talent of Tony enables him to utilize any and everything for percussion assistance. Whether it be an actual percussion instrument, or the zipper on his vest ~ his excitement for accentuating with percussion fill will stimulate your child to move with the groove and pick up the beat! Vivian has a charming singing voice, and her smile is certain to provide your child with a warm invitation to join in with the club for music box time!
An artful adventure unfolds on each episode. On a most recent episode this included making a vivid colored paper sack puppet. All of the materials utilized are readily available in most homes. After making these creations, the children spilled out in song complete with mimicking hand motions about flying like a bird. Arts and crafts time is yet another positive element to the success of this wonderful children?s series!
Tony and Vivian lead the children in a drama filled story time adventure. The children are not just read to during these hands on story times. A box appears with a ton of drama props that provide just the right accents for allowing each cast member to act out the story presented. This fun filled approach encourages a love for stories and an inspiration for expression. A classic story is presented with moral basis. Every cast member dressing up and acting out the story.
What series would be complete without a song or two that creates those lingering lyrics in your child?s memory? At the end of this show, Vivian provides a synopsis of what was done, placing emphasis on the theme. Her and Tony join together to present their Goodbye Song. Many children will sing along, or hum with this short ? but catchy ? tune.
So long farewell to you my friends
Goodbye for now until we meet again?.
It?s been great to play and sing together
In the box
And now its time to say goodbye?
