Pros:Memorable songs, Innocence, Family Friendly
Cons:none
The Bottom Line: This show is full of innocence and is so classic and that's what children should be watching, not what they are watching nowadays.

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh brought the well known and loved character Winnie the Pooh and his friends to television. The show ran from 1988 to 1991 not including re runs. The show can be owned on vhs and dvd through titles with 5 episodes such as " Winnie the Pooh Play time" and " Growing up with Winnie The Pooh".  Being able to own this wonderful show is great because generation after generation can enjoy the nostalgic and timeless appeal of that " Silly ol' bear".

The show says the "new" adventures however the themes of the episodes are very much in the style and classic appeal as the older Winnie The Pooh movies, and that is wonderful because Disney has seen that re vamping Winnie The Pooh doesn't work...Winnie the Pooh makes children and adults feel good, and it's a show and a character that parents can really trust with their children. The great thing about this show in comparision to the shows that are on television these days, are the lessons. We want our children to learn but not through in your face material that lacks any real depth or childhood connection. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh taught children lessons of friendship within each episode, while also helping with verbal/vocal skills through the fun and memorable songs within the show.

Who can forgot this show's theme song? I know I can't and it's playing on my computer as I write this review.

 " I gotta get up
I gotta get goin'
I gonna see a friend of mine

(He's round and he's fuzzy, I love him because he's just...)
Pooh bear, Winnie the Pooh bear
Wherever you go, oh won't you take me please
Pooh bear, I know he's out there
Rumbly tumbly
Climbin' a honey tree

Fun never ends for us, we're so adventurous
'Least every now and again
But when you're alone, and there's nobody home
It's nice to be able
To count on a friend like

Pooh bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear
Wherever you go, oh won't you take me please
Pooh Bear, I gotta be the-e-ere
It's me and it's you
My silly ol' Winnie the Pooooooooooh

I love that this show still holds the classic themes and that nostalgic feeling of the first Disney Winnie the Pooh movies, and still captures the love that Christopher Robin has for one stuffed bear.
