Pooh Came Over On the Ark

Written: May 21, 2000

Pros:Great Animation, Great Stories
Cons:None

I seems that Winnie the Pooh has been around so long he may have even come over on the Ark. Well maybe not, but he has been around for a long time.

Winnie the Pooh was really a popular character when I was a child and then he kind of faded away. He has really made his come back in the past 10 years.

Disney Channel has a new cartoon called New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It is very colorful and is very well animated. My children are 9,6, and 3 and they all love it.

They love all the stories. Most have the same plots where Winnie the Pooh gets in trouble trying to get honey or Tigger gets himself in a mess, but they change the stories around so that the children never notice. The stories also teach good values like helping your neighbors and be nice to your friends.

The New Adventures has the same great characters.

Winnie the Pooh-Need I say more. Winnie is a big yellow bear that wears a red t-shirt. He is always getting in trouble with the bees when he goes in search for that yummy honey.

Tigger-He is quite the bouncing fellow. He enjoys bouncing on his tail. He also can get the group in a lot of trouble.

Piglet-Oh, cute little piglet that pink little pig with the sweater.

Eeyorre-The big grey donkey with a ribbon on his tail. He moves and talks so slow.

Rabbit-Poor Rabbit. Something is always happening to his garden.

Gopher & Owl

Christopher Robin-Christopher Robin has been Pooh's friend for years and he hasn't aged a day. Christopher Robin helps Pooh out with his problems. He is a great friend.

I think Disney has done a great job on the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
