| jeditrickster's Full Review: Beast Machines |
It is the newest incarnation of the Transformers mythos: Beast Machines. The story begins with our heroes previously seen in Beast Wars. They've returned home to Cybertron. Not all as it seems though, as they are hunted by drones and are nearly destroyed. Optimus Primal is led by the Oracle (the powerful Allspark) to find his fellow Maximals who discover that they cannot transform and have no recollection of how they landed on Cybertron. This happens in the pilot episode. I belive this to be a great introduction to the new show. The writers have both intrigued us and have made us curious to what has happened to Cybertron and what will happen next.
The show is entertaining and has beautifully done computer animation. Anyone can watch it too. It is easily accessible to any audience. You do not have had to have watched Beast Wars without knowing what's going on.
The only problem I have with the show is that the music doesn't quite coincide with the show. Others may disagree but I believe it to to techno. I know that from the looks of things everything is techno, but it's a bit much for my liking.
Overall, as the season wore on, the story got more and more interesting with more character development and answers to unanswered questions. All this and a exciting cliffhanger ending! I highly recommend this cartoon for all people young and old, Transformer fan or not. It's a winner!
