Pros: Talented actors and hysterical characters
Cons: Has gone the way of so much humor: to raunch and salaciousness.
The Bottom Line: Wish it would rely on the talents of the cast - with brilliant impersonators and smart acting, rather than writing them into crass roles! GREAT CAST!

When this show fist went on-air it was mild and intelligent with great acting and hysterical skits. I loved the recurring characters - Mo Collins is particularly brilliant - like a modern Carole Burnett - she does the S'nack Cracker soap opera, the hypersensitive candy store clerk, the mother of the little brat, Stuart, and the woman who interrupts people's answers to her questions (WHAT?). She is SO sharp! But, after we started recommending it to people we were embarrassed at how raunchy it had become. Now so many of the skits have turned to baser humor - more crude and lewd than smart. Too bad. I LITERALLY (ha ha) thought it was giving SNL a VERY good run for their money, since SNL reeks now. The only good thing on SNL is the Weekend Update segment (written by the talented female anchor, Tina Fey, of the segment).
