Pros: Informative, educational, funny, all around entertaining.
Cons: Not broadcast very often on public channels after Disney took over...bad if you don't have the Disney channel.

| young1028's Full Review: Disney Presents Bill Nye the Science Guy |
I am 21 years old, and I remember at the age of 15, in 10th grade, watching Bill Nye The Science guy in my Intro To Chemistry and Physics class several times. I had sort of a batty teacher who treated us like kindergarten students, but all the same she knew how to get our attention. Bill Nye was for a quite younger audience than sophmores, but it was a quite funny show, and we all enjoyed it. Better than hearing Mrs. Schell talk about her 34 cats. Even out of class, I must admit, I would sneak in an episode or two at home!
Now I am a mother, a young on at that, and I would give anything if my two and four year old sons could watch Bill Nye on a regular basis. The Disney Channel took it over, and now it only comes on public channels once a week, usually earlier than we are out of bed. My children do get to watch it occasionally at my mom's house, who has the Disney channel. My four year old came home from granny's one day explaining quite "matter-of-factly" why we need to recycle after watch Bill Nye.
The program is VERY info-packed, and almost more importantly, entertaining and funny. Bill Nye is a real science teacher who used comedy to drawn in young listeners. He has a few quirky sidekicks to help him along. The show includes "do it at home" experiments, hilarious remakes of modern pop and rock songs to suit the scientific tastes, skits, trips to interesting places, and much more. My only beef is that I wish the show could more available to us without The Disney Channel. Think of Bill Nye The Science Guy as a modern day Mr. Wizard
