SpongeBob's Underwater Comedy

Pros: I like the animation, humorous jokes, and the expressions on everybody's faces
Cons: When the show first came out, the animation was dull with simple plots.
The Bottom Line: The show always makes you happy and its funny cheerfulness always will make you laugh. It isn't aimed for any specific people so it is great for anyone to watch.

When I first heard of SpongeBob, I thought that it would be another gross, vulgar cartoon show that relied on slapstick bathroom humor to promote it.
But then my friends started talking about what a funny, laugh out loud show it was so I decided to watch an episode and give it a chance. And, as it turned out, I really did like it and it is pretty funny too.
The great thing about it, is that it is great for all ages.
The humor is not too complicated for young children to understand, but it isn't too unsophisticated for adults to enjoy and laugh at.
About the Character (everything about....)
SpongeBob:
SpongeBob is a sea sponge who lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary.
Gary meows a lot, and on opposite day, he barks.
SpongeBob blows bubbles with bubble mix and goes jelly fishing with his best friend Patrick.
They joined the best friends forever club when they were just organisms.
SpongeBob has a job at an underwater restaurant called the Krusty Krab.
He flips burgers made out of seaweed. These are called Kraby Patties.
He has been trying to get his drivers' license from Mrs. Puff forever. Mrs. Puff is his driving teacher in boating school. He sometimes takes his driving test. He always gets nervous and hyper and crashes.
Patrick:
Patrick is a pink starfish that wears green swimming trunks with purple flowers on them and he has purple eyelids.
He lives under a rock with a weather cock on it that is always falling off. There is a golden hinge on his rock that allows him to open and close the rock.
He thinks he is semi-smart and is blissfully clueless about just how dumb he really is.
Squidward:
Squidward is an emerald-colored squid that is very self- important.He plays the clarinet and makes pictures and sculptures of himself. He says that he has conquered all artistic mediums. He hates SpongeBob and Patrick. He is always looking for a way to get out of Bikini Bottom, their home town. He also has a job at the Krusty Krab. He hates his job, In fact, he hates everything.
He has dillusions of greatness and ONLY self-accomplishment.
Mr. Krabs:
Mr. Krabs is the owner of the Krusty Krab. It goes without saying that he is a crab. He loves making money and will break out in a rash if there are no customers for a whole day. His hobby is sniffing money.
He has a daughter, Pearl.
Pearl is a whale who always wears a pink chearleading uniform. She is the perfect image of an underwater teen and is totally into guys. Her favorite hobbies are going to the mall with her friends and having tea parties with her stuffed animals. Mr. Krabs and Pearl live together in a giant anchor.
Sandy Cheeks:
Sandy is a squirrel from Texas. She moved to underwater. She is very strong and atheletic. She lives in a treedome filled with air. When she leaves her house to run errands or visit SpongeBob, she wears an air helmet with a plumeria flower on top of it. She speaks all kinds of Texas lingo and sometimes she gets a little homesick.
Favorite Episodes:
One of my favorite episodes is called "I'm With Stupid".
In this segment,Patrick's parents are coming back into town for starfish day and Patrick wants them to think that he is smart so SpongeBob and Patrick organise a plan. SpongeBob will show up acting like an idiot so Patrick's parents will appreciate Patrick more. Only Patrick forgets that there was ever a plan and thinks that SpongeBob really is stupid. SpongeBob gets really angry and runs out of the house screaming and the people he thought were his parents forgot that they never had a son, and Squidward directs his real parents to Patrick's house and they all laugh and walk inside the rock. Then the lid slams.
My other favorite episode is called "Band Geeks". In this segment, Squidward's enemy from band class, Squilliam Fancyson wants him to cover his band for a big superbowl concert on land. Squidward lies to him and says that he has a band. So he collects some of the citizens of Bikini Bottom and tries to form a band. Only they stink!!! Squidward gives up and leaves them crying. And SpongeBob brings together the band and has a great rockin' concert that really shows up Squilliam and Squidward regains his pride and enjoys sweet victory.
I love those episodes because of the humorous jokes and the hilarious expressions on everyone's faces.
