The title is a well known phrase from the cartoon: SpongeBob Squarepants.
I have children ages almost 13 and 12 and my children love cartoons. My
youngest boy loves this cartoon so I am forced to listen to SpongeBob's voice. I get used to his voice because it somewhat resembles PeeWee Herman's lovely voice.
**SpongeBob Squarepants**
To begin with, this cartoon takes place under the sea.
This cartoon is aired every day on Nickelodeon. Some days they show 2 episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants and other days only 1. This cartoon is a half hour in length. The episode I just finished watching was about SpongeBob trying to go to the moon. There are 5 main characters that are showed in every episode. These are:
**Patrick. Patrick is a star fish and very dumb. On today's episode, he
was in the rocket with SpongeBob and he was pushing buttons. He seems
like he is in continual motion. Hyper comes to mind. In another episode,
SpongeBob lost his house. He went to stay with Patrick. During the night, they kept taking turns stealing the rock they were sharing. Finally, SpongeBob covered up with sand. All of a sudden, Patrick jumped up and started hitting SpongeBob with the rock and was shouting: Spider,
Spider. Patrick was dreaming. I laughed the whole time I watched this episode. This particular episode was on last week. I believe my son when he says that Patrick IS dumb. So dumb, he's funny.
**Sandy. This character is a land squirrel. She is very smart and SpongeBob drives her batty. In today's episode, she was supposed to fly the rocket to the moon but SpongeBob and Patrick messed this up. I particularly liked her astronaut suit. She has a pink sea-flower on the
outside of her helmet. I believe they did the bit with the flower to help young viewers see that this character is a girl.
**Mister Crab. As the name says, this character is a crab. He wants money, money, money. He was dreaming in today's episode and in his dream was a cash register with money hopping into the drawer. I was
laughing because in the middle of his dream, he heard squeaking. It woke him up. The porthole was swinging open in his bedroom so he got up to shut it. On the way back to his hammock, one of his little peg legs got stuck in a knothole on the floor and he ended being thrown out the window he had just shut. I will admit, this character will make anyone laugh.
**Squidword. As the name implies, yes, he is a squid. He likes to play the clarinet. On todays show, SpongeBob and Patrick were alien hunting.
They went in Squidword's house and were going to trap him with a net gun.
Oh yeah, SpongeBob and Patrick saw a heating pad under Squidword. They
thought the heating pad was an alien egg sac. They shot him with the net
gun because they thought they were on the moon and Squidword was an alien.
**SpongeBob Squarepants. He is the main character of this cartoon. Yes,
he does make me laugh. In last weeks episode I watched, he kept ripping his pants and everybody would laugh. By the time a half hour was up, I was glad. That phrase became nerve-racking very quickly. Hence, the reason for my title. Many children know that phrase because SpongeBob Squarepants is very popular. In today's episode, he was responsible for making the rocket launch to begin with.
**My thoughts**
Considering the fact that kids will watch t.v., I would highly recommend this cartoon to anyone with children. My niece is 4 years old and loves this cartoon. In the land of cartoons, this is one of the better ones I
feel. There is not really any violence to speak of.
My 12 year old son is very fond of cartoons and he highly recommends this to kids of all ages! This is even a good cartoon to sit down and watch with your children. I know, I started watching this 3 weeks ago. If you have not seen SpongeBob Squarepants and his partners in crime, do so today. He can be found on Nickelodeon.
In the land of cartoons such as, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Tom and Jerry and Huckleberry Hound. This cartoon is going to end up a classic in my opinion.
Be prepared to laugh, I know, I thought I was too old for cartoons, but this one proved me wrong. I put kids to teens best suited for, but anyone can watch this cartoon.
