Fine Italian Made Crib is worth the money

Written: Mar 30 '07
Pros:Classic design, quiet and high quality
Cons:Expensive, but worth it.
The Bottom Line: Although the price is a bit on the expensive side, this crib will last you through several children.

Making the difficult decision of selecting a crib is even more difficult when you are pregnant! I debated for several months between the Canadian brand Ragazzi and Italian brand Pali. They both were high quality brands and had great matching furniture. Because we were on a tight budget, we ended up choosing the Ragazzi crib for our first child. After 6 months of using it, I realized that we made a bad decision because the quality was not what I had expected. The slates came unglued from the hand rail and it became extremely difficult to move the hand rail up and down.

With our second child, I was not going to make the same mistake twice and went straight to the Pali section. I selected the Pali Sabrina because it was a neutral design that could work with either Cherry furniture or Maple furniture since it is a two toned crib (you can select any color you want though). I liked the look of the two tone crib and thought it was very unique.

This crib has upheld a very energetic little boy who loves to bounce up and down in his crib. The Italians have thought of every little feature and even include nice casters (wheels) on the bottom of the crib that do not ruin our hard woodfloors. The Ragazzi has plastic casters which have been scratching/indenting our hardwood floors. The rail easily slides up and down with one hand when you push the side with your knee. It is extremely quiet and do not have to worry about waking your little one when you pull it up.

I highly recommend this crib and perhaps any of the Pali cribs that are out there. It is worth every penny that you pay for and will uphold several kids!
