The Bottom Line: Buy this stroller if you are looking for an alternative to the huge double or side-by-side strollers. It serves its purpose well.
Before I begin my review of this stroller, let me begin by saying that my wife and I have a 2 month old daughter and a 21 month old son. We were looking for something other than a double stroller or a side-by-side stroller. My wife is fairly small and she didn't want to have to lug around a huge stroller. While at Disneyland with her friend, my wife noticed someone in line with the Sit-N-Stand stroller from Baby Trend. She decided right there that she wanted to get this stroller. Somehow my wife managed to drag me to Babies-R-Us to take a look at the stroller. I agreed with my wife that this stroller looked like just the thing we were looking for. We have now used the stroller for two months now and here is our review.
Features We Love
This stroller is well-designed and allows you two options for strapping in your children. You can have your toddler stand in the back while you strap in your infant's car seat to the front of the stroller. Another option is to have your toddler sit in the back facing you while your infant faces forward. Currently we are using the first option and we hope to start using the second option when our daughter is around six months. We were afraid that our son wouldn't want to stand in the back for very long, but we were pleasantly surprised that he remained standing there during an entire 1 hour walk. He held onto the stroller handles with both hands the entire time.
The stroller folds down fairly small and will fit in most car trunks easily. Many other double or side-by-side strollers cannot make this claim. The Sit-N-Stand stroller is also fairly light and easy to lift. You may be confused with how it folds and unfolds at first, but you will become an expert in no time.
Included with the stroller is a nice canopy that will shield the sun from your infant. It works quite well. They also include a strap to secure the car seat to the stroller.
Minor Grievances
Although we love this stroller and can't imagine our lives without it, there were a couple of things that we wished were better. For one thing, the basket underneath the stroller is fairly small and can't really hold that much weight. Second, it would've been nice if they included cup holders.
Final Thoughts and Words of Advice
This stroller may or may not be perfect for you. I wouldn't recommend this stroller if your first child is under 1 and a half or over 3 or 4. But if your first child is between these two ages, this stroller may be the perfect solution.
Finally, this stroller is specifically designed to fit the four or five most popular car seats out there. You might want to check and make sure that your car seat is compatible. We have the Evenflo On My Way Position Right car seat which straps in nicely to this stroller.
