| erin5oaks's Full Review: Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand LX III Standard Stroller |
This is the question you can ask your child every time you get out your Baby Trend stroller.
My daughter who had a stroke shortly after birth would always prefer to be pushed in a stroller than walk. This stroller was a godsend because I could put my child that I was providing childcare for in the front and my daughter could be in the back. Your child can either sit on the seat on the back or stand while you push them. There is a bar which they can hold onto.
I was so thrilled when I saw this stroller the first time. There was nothing like this stroller. It isn't your typical double stroller in that the older child has both more room in the back and they can get out of their seat without the risk of falling like they would have if getting out of a typical stroller by themselves.
The front seat can be reclined for the younger child. One of the best features is that there is a special bar so you can put your infant car seat onto the front seat of the stroller. If your infant is asleep in the car you can allow them to continue sleeping without disturbing them.
The bar that goes around the front seat is nicely padded for safety. It is easily wiped off if it gets dirty. There is a quality quilted canopy which you can take off of the front seat if you don't need it. It was easy for me to take off and put on.
I like the fact that this isn't a huge stroller unlike other double strollers. It is easier to navigate through store aisles. The large all terrain wheels don't get stuck easily and move over uneven ground with no problem.
There is a nice storage basket underneath if you need to put your purse or diaper bag.
The things I don't like about the stroller is that it is heavy. It weighs 25 pounds without the kids in it. Lucky for me I am woman who is tall and in good shape. I couldn't imagine a teenager or smaller woman getting it in and out of a car.
The other complaint is that even though it is easy to collapse, it takes up tons of trunk space. It isn't quit an issue if you have a van.
You can find this stroller at Toys R Us, Babygear.com, or ibaby.com.
This is a great stroller if there is an age space between your children. Many times your older child is too big for a traditional double stroller. I think that for $150 many families will get much use from it. I have not had anything break or need replacing. That is a first for me. I have had many different strollers and this is a good quality stroller.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
