Pros: Cute packaging; quiet, easy-to-open packaging; compact
Cons: Not absorbent/does not prevent leaks
I purchased U by Kotex Click tampons in the Super/Unscented variety in lieu of another variation of Kotex tampons I usually purchase - Kotex Security - which weren't in stock at my store at the time. Because the only tampons that I've found to be reliable are by Kotex, I chose to try Kotex's newest and heavily advertised line of tampons - U by Kotex Click. I expected them to be as good, if not better, than my trusty Kotex Security tampons. Unfortunately, I was very wrong.

As is Kotex's aim for its marketing campaign for U by Kotex Click tampons, I was drawn in by the way these tampons were presented. Admittedly, the tampons are presented extremely well! The tampons come in a black cardboard box, which is meant to be in contrast to the girly white/pink/purple/blue boxes that tampons typically come in. The tampons themselves come in boldly-colored (orange, pink, purple, and green) plastic wrappers that have a black floral-like design on them. The wrappers have perforated tips that allow the user to easily and neatly open the wrapper.
Each plastic tampon applicator is the same color as its wrapper. The tampon applicator is also very compact - about 3-4 inches long. This is because the end of the tampon applicator - the skinny part that you push in with your index finger during insertion - does not come extended like other tampons. When you are ready to use the tampon, you need to pull the end of the applicator out until you hear a "click". This indicates that applicator is fully extended and is also what gives the U by Kotex Click tampons their name.
So, yes, U by Kotex Click tampons and their packaging have a lot of good things going on for them aesthetically, but that's where the goodness ends. It appears to me that Kotex put more effort into sucking consumers in with its advertising and making the U by Kotex brand appear new and different than in producing the actual tampons. Its advertising in both its commercials and on its website uses words like "bold" and "fearless", but I was anything but when using these tampons!
These are the least absorbent tampons I have ever used. I always use super absorbency tampons, but my period laughed at these tampons in that absorbency. With other super absorbency tampons, I can typically last until the maximum recommended time of eight hours before I need to change them out, but with U by Kotex Click's super absorbency tampons, I found myself rushing to the bathroom every four hours to put a new tampon in due to leakage. Eventually, I took to wearing ultra thin pads for extra protection while finishing up the box. These tampons made me feel the exact opposite of "bold" and "fearless". I had no peace of mind. Furthermore, what's the point in wearing tampons if I also have to wear a pad?
There are a few bright spots, though. The profile of the plastic applicator is very smooth and sleek, making for easy, painless insertion. Once inserted, I found them to be very comfortable. They also come in the least frustrating packaging I've ever used. Not only are the wrappers easy to open, but they're also very quiet because the plastic is slightly textured and very smooth. When you're out in public, you don't have to worry about the wrappers making that loud, plastic-y noise that makes what you're doing very obvious. Lastly, I can't help but be delighted at how compact and overall cute the tampons are! None of this matters, however, when you're running to the bathroom every few hours with a leak. I love Kotex and their Kotex Security tampons, but they need to go back to the drawing board and put more effort into creating a quality U by Kotex Click tampon, rather than clever advertising.
