Pros:2 double sided figure heads, cobra's ability to move in numerous ways

Cons:basic car and statue, hard to find

The Bottom Line: While some of the pieces are basic, the cobra offers something different for a Lego set. The set is hard to get, but an interesting part of the series.

The Lego Pharaoh’s Quest Cursed Cobra Statue (#7325) set contains 213 pieces, 3 of which are minifigures. Pharaoh’s Quest is an ancient Egypt series.

Lego Pharaoh’s Quest Cursed Cobra Statue
Cursed Cobra Statue comes with three main pieces – a car, an obelisk and of course, the cobra. The car is an open Jeep style with large moving wheels. With no other moving parts – not even opening doors-  it is fairly basic. The sand colored obelisk stands about six inches tall. The stickers added to the obelisk depicting ancient hieroglyphics add to the Egyptian feel of the piece. The back of the statue contains a piece that confused me. Then I realized it was the resting place for the unique and most interesting part of this set – the cobra.

Made up of a series of ball hinges, the 12 inch long cobra is unlike many other Lego pieces. The ball hinges allow the cobra body to move in many different directions at the same time. The tail can twist and the cobra has a hinged jaw for exposing his sharp teeth. The cobra also comes with a flexible plastic piece that its attached to its head.

Minifigures
There is a female adventurer. The long, pony-tailed hair can be removed to reveal a double side figure head. One side shows a look of determination, the other shows a look of definite peril. Her cross body bag must be removed in order for her to sit down in her vehicle.

The male wears an aviator type jacket and has a stubbled face. He is otherwise a fairly simple figure.

The last minifigure is a mummy to guard the cobra statue. His hands can clutch an asp to help protect his statue. His bandage wrapped minifigure head is double sided. One side shows both his eyes, the other only shows one eye. He also wears an ancient Egyptian headdress.

Overall
The car is simple, and even the statue is simple. Without the stickers is could be hard to identify as ancient Egyptian. The cobra however is pretty cool with its ability to move in numerous directions. The three figures are OK, but two are double headed figures.

My son only recently discovered the Pharaoh’s Quest series and immediately wanted sets. For him it is a bit Indiana Jones-like. Unfortunately, as of now, the series is no longer in stores and is hard to find. Not to mention a little pricey due to its hard to find factor. If you can find it at a reasonable price and want to add to your Pharaoh’s Quest collection, this is a good set to have.
