Phoneix is a great City to visit. There are many places see plays, art, great food. I visit Phoneix in the winter and earlier summer months for its hiking and sporting events. A great place to hike is the Squaw Peak Mountain. And at the base of the Mountain in the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak resort. I stay there just about twice a year. (Even though I have family that I COULD stay with)

The Pointe has a great view. Towering over the Hole in the Wall River Rance is Squaw Peak Mountain. In the mornings when in the Hole in the Wall River Ranch (their fantastic water park) the sun will come up just over the mountain and its breathtaking. There is also a trail to get to the mountain leading from the River ranch.

The River Rance is a huge Park with Many pools. They a have a great slide for the kids. The slide is very fast, so if you are squeemish about such things, this may not be for you. There is a minature Put Put Golf course. This is good for the kids as well. However, some of the times that I have been there, it has excess sand on it from the Lazy River. The Lazy River is a Slow moving snake of water that you can float in on an inner tube. There is a bar in the ranch as well with servers and great bartender. You can even float in the river with your drinks.

Checking in was very easy. You also have the added abilty to check out using the television in the room. The room itself is not modest. There are two bedroom suites called Casitas. They are like minature houses. When I was there in OCtober of 99, I paid $220.00 a night for the casita, but it was worth it. When I stayed there in the summer of the following year, I only paid $85 for my suite.

The Hole in the Wall has Western Cuisine. There is a geat bar and they serve Ribs, Steak and Seafood. At night, the view is truly Fantastic. The patio overlooks the river ranch. Which is closed at night. But is very beautful to look at with its waterfalls.

The Lantana Grill I cannot Recomend at all. The food is so so. But the service was great.

Aunt chilada was VERY good. They have perhaps the best mexican food that I have ever had. The have REALLY good salsa. Their enchilidas are very good as well.

If you are ever in phoneix. You should definatly stay at the Pointe Hilton @ squaw peak, or at least eat at their restraunts, you will not be dissapointed.
