Pros:Luxury, good service, great location
Cons:No major Cons.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the U.S. Grant to anyone because of the great service, the luxurious lobby and guest rooms, and the great location.
Last month, my family and I visited San Diego. When booking our hotel, we found a great deal for the US Grant Hotel, so we decided to stay with them. Upon arriving at the hotel we walked into a huge, luxurious lobby. Everything in the lobby, from the crystal chandeliers to the furnishings was luxurious. The check-in staff was very friendly and courteous and we next went to go bring our car to valet. The price for valet parking was $19 a day. We dropped off our car and a bell man helped us with our luggage to our room on the fifth floor. When we got off the elevator we stepped into a mini lobby which leads to the guest rooms. I found that very nice along with the very spacious hallways. The bell man was also very friendly and helpful. Upon entering the spacious and luxurious room, we saw that every amenity possible was in the room. The bathroom was nice, large, and had everything we needed. The beds were also extremely comfortable. There was also a mini-bar, but the prices on the check list were very high.
The location of the U.S. Grant is also excellent. The hotel is located in Downtown San Diego. Its also right next to the Gas Lamp Quarter and Horton Plaza is directly in front of the hotel. There are restaurants on site if you don't mind paying the higher prices and there are other options close by.
I greatly enjoyed my stay at the U.S. Grant Hotel. Every aspect of the hotel was excellent. I got a great rate for a hotel which is truly presidential.
