Pros: location
Cons: snooty service, dated rooms, hotel tries to nickel and dime you
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Paying a similar price can land you a comparable room at more up to date establishment.

| srwood's Full Review: Prescott Hotel |
For Valentines day this year I decided to take my girlfriend to San Francisco for the weekend and stay at the Prescott. I originally received a promotional price for my nights stay but when I arrived my reservations were not in the computer for some reason due to an apparent mix up or something. Anyways we were put in a room and when we made it upstairs I realized that my roommate had more than doubled in price from the original rate quoted to me at the time the reservations were made. I went down to the lobby and the employee made us change rooms and basically made me look like a fool in front of my girlfriend on Valentines day. All in all the hotel was decent definitely not the Ritz. The hotel staff was friendly but not necessarily welcoming and warm. The room was comfortable but nothing special. The heater was loud and the floors were really squeaky. Also I did not find the restaurant to be anything spectacular besides the fact that it is Wolfgang Puck's place. Also a tip, if you decide to stay, there is an overnight valet parking garage right around the corner that is $20 a night with come and go privileges. Less than half the cost the Prescott charges despite the valet driver said its where hotel parks the cars.
