Pros: A Grand Hotel, Very elegant, and Unpretentious
Cons: Not in Old Naples... this hotel is no Four Seasons!!
The Bottom Line: A Great Hotel In Naples. It's out of the way from Old Naples and the many beautiful neighborhoods of Naples. Stay here if you like the gulf coast!

| dacairo's Full Review: Ritz Carlton R-C Naples |
During my Thanksgiving Break in November 2000, After staying at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach for 8 nights, we then would go to the Ritz-Carlton in Naples for two nights. When we arrived after driving up their long attractive front laws, we were quickly helped and escorted to the helpful and friendly front desk. The lobby is beautiful with it's long and tall windows near the bar. When we were taken to the room, we were pleased. However, not as nice as the Four Seasons room, it was very pleasant. The Bathroom was very nice with marble everywhere. However, the room had some wears and tears, but nothing to serious. The rest of the hotel is beautiful. Like I said, the lobby is truly breathtaking along with the pool areas and the beach. They are building a new spa/health club facility when we went so that is something to look forward too. What I liked best was the pools and the whirlpools. They were very elegantly done and were very attractive. The many restaurants were very nice and the ones we went to were very good. I loved the boardwalk pathways to the beaches and restaurants at the resort. It provided a relaxing and homey feel to it. The Service for the our stay was good, everyone seemed friendly, and were very pampering. If you look at the hotel, you would think it's from the early 20th century, however, it was built in the 1980's. It is a really tall resort that is somewhat forbidding from the outside, but you learn to appreciate it. We could tell that they keep up this resort with the constant construction and renovation that was going on. We truly enjoyed our stay here. However, this hotel still does not match the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach. The FS resort is just more classier, more elegant, and still more comfortable. When you stay at the FS resort, you know you are apart of the "family". You don't get that service and feeling at the Ritz. Still we had a great time as our vacation ended in Naples.
