If you are looking for a hotel in Key West, be very careful! For those who have not been to Key West, there is very little "beach" to be found. People travel to Key West for the scuba, snorkeling, sunset cruises, food, and romantic atmosphere. The Hyatt Key West has a very small beach, but as small as the beach is, it is one of the very few hotels that actually have a beach at all!

Additionally, this hotel is very close to a marina for those who wish to charter a fishing boat, dive, or snorkel. The hotel has a nice pool and whirlpool. The Wyndham Casa Marina has a much nicer pool area, and may be more romantic, but its location is less favorable and it has no real beach. The end suite rooms have an absolutely fabulous view and two balconies. They are very much worth the price over the standard rooms.

Of course, you receive the Hyatt touch. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. Throughout Key West, the meals are generally outstanding. In short, unless you can rent a home in Key West, this is the hotel of choice for its amenities and convenience to Duval Street restaurants and shopping.
