As we neared our hotel I was hoping that the tall ugly building was not our hotel, but of course it was! We checked in and the lobby was ok. The staff there seemed nice but did not go out of their way to be extra nice as most hotels do.
As we made our way to the room the hall way was ugly, and plain. The room was similar. The there was nothing on the walls and the walls were a beige color. It was just a very blah room. However the bed was a king bed and it was very comfortable. There was also a balcony that we could sit out on, I liked that feature.
The bathroom was not that nice either. The fixtures were average, not new but looked like they could be changed to spruce up the appearance.
Outside of our room there were the usual things that a hotel has. A restaurant, a coffee shop, a pool etc. I can say that I did not go or even see the pool. But the restaurant was pretty good. I had a great breakfast there and on the last day I had a nice lunch. I wanted a cheesecake to go and they were helpful and wrapped it up for me to take.
The location of the hotel was a major negative. It was not near one thing. The area around was just offices so that is why I think that this was probably a business hotel. So for the business traveler this hotel might be more suitable.
Check out was easy and the hotel got us a car to the airport for a small fee.
After I got home I realized that I had forgot my pajamas there. So I called the hotel to inform them of that and that I would like it if they would mail it to me. It took them awhile to find it but they did. They mailed it out the next day. I don't think that if i hadn't called they would of mailed me them which I thought they should of called me first to let me know instead of me realizing they were missing.
In general I am sure there are a lot of nicer hotels to pick from in the Miami area.
