We have stayed here during our Thanksgiving Day Break Recess in November 2000. When we arrived, after driving 15 hours from Maryland, we knew we were about to finally be paid off! The entrance is very lovely with its manicured laws. When we entered, there was light everywhere. We were very impressed. The front desk was very helpful, friendly, and willing to go that extra mile. When we got to our room, we were pleased. Our room did not look like the one on the website or brochure though, but it was nice. The best part of the room thought, was the marble bathroom. The pool area is very nice with cabanas and incredible lounge chairs. The beach was nice with its attentive service and free chairs and beach cabanas. The restaurants were average, nothing too special. They were really really overpriced for the quality of food they gave us. Another disappointment was the bar (The Library). Every night we went there, it was dark, empty, and very quiet. Where is the social entertainment? The drinks were once again okay, and very expensive. Overall, we really liked the hotel. We had a great time and mostly everyone was great. Still, there is something missing in this hotel...i don't know what....after going twice to the FS resort in Maui, i can tell this one is definetly missing something. However, we visited the other hotels in Palm Beach, the Ritz-Carlton and the Breakers, and we have to say, the FS is the BEST hotel in the area. And yes, I will come back here. I just hope that something is fixed or gone!
